Mulan Presentation Cel and Hand-Painted Production Background Setup (Walt Disney, 1998). "Please Sir, my father has already fought bravely!" Mulan pleads for her father, Fa Zhou. The soldier might be more impressed if he knew she was voiced by Ming-Na Wen, who would go on to play the butt-kicking Agent May on the TV series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! With no hand-painted production cels used in the making of this feature film, a one-of-one original hand-painted presentation cel such as this is quite a rarity! To kick it up a notch, this cel was created from original animation drawings and painted by the famed Disney Ink and Paint Department. It is on a hand-painted production background. This was Lot #36 in Sotheby's "Art of Mulan" sale on 3/6/99. The figures stand 6", 4", and 8" tall in the 17" x 8.5" image area. There is a Disney seal on the lower left. The cel and background are Plexiglas front framed to 27"x 18.75" and in Fine condition.
