DescriptionMulan Mushu and Mulan Storyboard Original Art and Poster Art Print (Walt Disney, 1998). "I don't think I can do this" "It's all about attitude. Be tough, like this guy here." Mushu (played by Eddie Murphy) shows Mulan the ropes when it comes to masculinity in a hilarious scene in which Mulan disastrously introduces herself to her fellow would-be soldiers, seen at the 29:10 mark of the film. This expressive original storyboard drawing features a close-up image of Mulan and a delightful shot of an overconfident Mushu. Dean DuBlois, perhaps most known for his writing and directing work on Lilo and Stitch, co-headed the storyboarding process for Mulan with Chris Sanders, and much of the storyboard work for the film is attributed to his hand. In addition to this wonderful storyboard this lot comes with a print of the poster art for the theatrical release. Mulan was released on 6/19/1998, and it is the ninth film released during the Disney Renaissance of the late 80s through the 90s. Telling the tale of a young woman who poses as a male soldier for the sake of her aging father and the honor of her family, Mulan is has been praised for being one of the more progressive Disney-animated films of the decade. The storyboard is rendered in ink and graphite on a 10" x 5.5" sheet of animation paper, and the print measures 9.5" x 12.5". Both pieces show very minor handling wear, and the print has a very small wrinkle on the top edge. The condition of both is Very Good.
