Mr. Peabody and Sherman "Peabody's Improbable History" Opening Sequence Drawings by Gerald Baldwin (Jay Ward, c. 1990s). "Peabody's Improbable History" was part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. They made 91 episodes for this fan-favorite segment featuring the dog Mr. Peabody, his pet boy Sherman, and the wonderful WABAC machine. This cartoon was revived in 2014 with an animated feature film, and then in 2015, Mr. Sherman got his own new television series. This is a series of one-of-a-kind pen and ink/color marker drawings inspired by one of the show's opening title sequences. It was done by Jay Ward director and two-time Emmy winner Mr. Gerard Baldwin (1929 - 2018). These were done for an Art Gallery appearance by Mr. Baldwin. Five originals housed in one long frame measuring 64" x 16", with five mat openings of 8" x 10". Each one of the art pieces is hand-signed by the late Mr. Baldwin. With the original art from the show not being available (they were originally done in Mexico and later thrown out), this is some pretty rare rare artwork of a memorable cartoon sequence. Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
