DescriptionMr. Magoo's Christmas Carol Bob Cratchit Production Cel Setup and Pan Background Layout Drawing Group of 2 (UPA, 1962). Bob Cratchit sneaks behind Mr. Magoo as Ebenezer Scrooge in this hand-inked and hand-painted original production cel setup from the animated holiday classic Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol. This historical special told the story of Mr. Magoo in a stage adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, and it is known as the very first animated Christmas special ever. Seen at the 6:51 mark of this important work of animation history, this wonderful piece features the character in an image that measures 6.5" x 6.75" on the cels. The cels are accompanied by an original pan background layout drawing rendered in graphite on a sheet of 26" x 10.25" animation paper. The cels and the sheets show minor handling and edge wear, and the layout drawing shows a vertical fold in the middle. The condition of each piece is Very Good.
