Mr. Duck Steps Out Donald and Daisy Duck Model Sheets Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1940). This short introduced the world to Daisy Duck and was directed by Jack King, with the story written by none other than Carl Barks. It was released on 6/7/40. Its original working title was "Donald's Date" (also rumored to be a possible title was "Donald's in the Groove"). This is considered to be one of Donald Duck's greatest film appearances, and this is the original Studio Model Sheets that was published. These original drawings were cut to image and rubber-cemented to the boards. The titles are all hand-drawn. These were photographed, and copies were printed on photographic paper for all who worked on the film. Both are the published originals. One is primarily of Daisy with an image of Donald, and one is of Donald, Daisy, and the nephews. The boards measure 17" x 14" and is hand-titled "Donald's Date" and dated June 28, 1938. The second measures 15.5" x 12.5" and is hand-dated July 11, 1938, and hand-initialed JG (Joe Grant). The titles are also hand-done. This is pure studio history. Minor handling wear and tape marks, otherwise, in Fine condition.
