DescriptionMother Goose Goes Hollywood W. C. Fields and Charlie McCarthy Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). This parody of Mother Goose nursery rhymes featured (among others) legendary adversaries W. C. Fields (as Humpty Dumpty) and Charlie McCarthy. This Silly Symphony short was directed by Wilfred Jackson and released on 12/23/38, with caricatures of Hollywood stars of the 30's. In this segment, which can be seen around the 3:15 minute mark, the two taunt each in classic style. This is a pair of original production drawings in graphite with red and blue pencilling. W. C. measures 8.5" tall and is numbered 45A in the lower right. Charlie measures 6" x 5" and is numbered 21 in the lower right. Both are on 12-field, 5 peg hole animation paper and show light handling and edge wear; otherwise Condition is Fine.
