Legendary adversaries W. C. Fields (as Humpty Dumpty) and Charlie McCarthy (sitting up in a tree, in a bird's nest) go at each other in this pair of original 16 field animation production drawings. This Silly Symphony short was directed by Wilfred Jackson, and released on 12/23/38, with caricatures based on the art of T. Hee. The Fields drawing is in graphite with red and green highlights, and an image size of 5" tall; it's marked 99 in the lower right. Charlie in the bird's nest is drawn in graphite with red and green pencil, and an image size of 7". It's marked as 20 in the lower right. Fine condition.
