DescriptionMother Goose Goes Hollywood W. C. Fields and Charlie McCarthy Animation/Color Model Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). Legendary comedian W. C. Fields is Humpty Dumpty, continuing his long-running feud with marionette Charlie McCarthy (seen leaping up and down in a bird's nest) in this pair of original 16 field animation production drawings. This Silly Symphony short was directed by Wilfred Jackson, and released on 12/23/38, with caricatures based on the art of T. Hee. The Fields drawing is in graphite with red and green highlights, and an image size of 5" tall; it's marked 160 in the lower right. Charlie in the bird's nest is drawn in graphite; his hat has red and green highlights, with added red, yellow, and orange penciling to the nest. The overall image size is 3.5", and it's marked as 211 in the lower right. Fine condition with light handling and edge wear.
