Mother Goose Goes Hollywood Stan Laurel Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). Mother Goose Goes Hollywood was the 73rd short subject film of the 75 Silly Symphony shorts produced by Walt Disney Pictures. This Wilfred Jackson-directed short went on to earn an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Short Film at the 1938 Academy Awards. In Mother Goose Goes Hollywood Simple Simon, Stan Laurel, refuses an offered pie, and picks one from the middle of the pile, which scares Hardy, fearing the pile will collapse. From this scene in Mother Goose Goes Hollywood we have a terrific set of animation drawings showing Simple Simon picking out his pie. You will find this scene beginning around the 3:28 mark. Hand-drawn in graphite with color pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. This pair of vintage drawings has mild handling, edge wear, and age-related toning. Very Good condition.
