DescriptionMother Goose Goes Hollywood Marx Brothers Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). When Old King Cole calls for his fiddlers three, the Marx Brothers appear! This original production drawing features Groucho with his trademark cigar along with Chico and Harpo. Great detailed drawings in graphite with red and green pencil highlights on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. Groucho is 4" tall, while Chico and Harpo are 5" each. T. Hee's great Golden Age of Hollywood star caricatures helped this Wilfred Jackson-directed short receive an Academy Award Nomination for Best Animated Short. Groucho is trimmed to image and mounted to the drawing with Chico and Harpo by the Disney studio creating this extraordinary Art Props setup. Noted as 28A in the lower right. Condition is Very Good.
