Description
Mopping Up Painted Background Group (Terrytoons, 1943). A pair of original hand-painted 12 field production backgrounds from this presumably lost WWII propaganda cartoon, directed by Eddie Donnelly and starring the team of Gandy Goose and Sourpuss. The first one is noted as 8 in the upper right, and shows a blazing sun set against a pale blue sky. The second painting is noted as Sc 35, and shows an ancient Egyptian monument from behind in a desert setting with pyramids and palm trees. This one has remnants of black tape adhesive in the lower corners. Overall condition is Very Good.Auction Info
