    Description

    Yogi Bear and Boo-Boo Model Sheet Art Group of 2 (Hanna-Barbera, c. 1970s). Hey there -- it's Yogi Bear! Yogi is considered to be Hanna-Barbera's first breakout star, graduating from a segment on The Huckleberry Hound Show to his own series in 1961. Here are two original model sheet/animator practice drawings of Yogi and his diminutive pal, Boo Boo. The first sheet includes eight graphite images of Yogi, with one of Boo Boo, for size comparison; figure sizes range from 2.5" to 6". The second sheet has thirteen images of Boo Boo, with all but two as full-figures. Sizes range from 1.75" to 3.25"; all are in soft graphite, with red pencil highlights on one. The bottom right corner is signed "Kerns," presumably for Billie Kerns, a H-B Ink and Paint supervisor from whose archives these drawings come from, or perhaps Jack Kerns, longtime Disney/H-B animator (and Billie's husband). Very Good condition with minor handling wear. From the Billie Kerns Collection.
