Description
Virgil Ross "The Art of Daffy Duck" Model Sheet Original Art (Warner Brothers, c. 1990s). Virgil Ross worked for Warner Brothers for 30 years. Most of his work was in the Friz Freleng unit. He won the Winsor McCay Award for Lifetime Achievement in Animation in 1988. He had his own Limited Edition line of hand-painted cels released in the 1990s. He made personal appearances at many Warner Brothers Studio Store Galleries and Animation Art Galleries to promote the line. He also sold new original artwork created from his hand. This is an original "model sheet" style drawing of the many faces of Daffy Duck. Art is in graphite over blue pencil on a 16 field animation sheet. There are seven images, ranging in size from 4" - 8" of Daffy Duck in his most famous poses and his look over the years. The artwork is hand-signed by Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996).
