Tom Terrific Studio Model Sheet plus The Flintstones Animator's Practice Drawings Group of 3 (Terrytoons/Hanna-Barbera, c. 1957/1980s). Tom Terrific was an animated serial shown as part of the Captain Kangaroo children's television series. Here's a very rare original Terrytoons Studio animator's model sheet, showing Tom, his dog Mighty Manfred, and just about every character from the show you can imagine - Crabby Appleton ("he's rotten to the core"), Captain Kidney Bean and his pirates including Short John Silverfish, Sidney the "Mad Elephant," Isotope Feeny, and many more from this Gene Deitch-produced cartoon. Wow! The model sheet measures a whopping 22.5" x 15.75", and comes folded. Also included are two pages of Fred Flintstone drawings from the 1980s on 14" x 10.5" 3-peghole animation paper, including one with two full-figure images of Fred in graphite, another full-figure image blocked out in red pencil, and an additional head shot in red. The full-figure images average figure size is 6". The second drawing, in green pencil, is an action sequence of Fred and Barney walking, with foot movement images between the two full-figure drawings; Fred is about 5.5" tall, while Barney is 4.25". The Tom Terrific model sheet is in Good condition with fold creases and minor handling; the Flintstone drawings are in Very Good condition with minor handling.Auction Info
