Description

The Pointer Pluto Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1939). The Pointer is considered one of Mickey Mouse's greatest hits and was nominated for an Academy Award. The animation was done by Fred Moore, Frank Thomas, Shamus Culhane, Preston Blair, and John Lousberry to name a few, and it was directed by Clyde Geronimi. This was one of the first theatrical films to showcase the new design of Mickey Mouse, with his pupils. This is the original published Model Sheet of the forest animals along with Pluto. These drawings were cut to image and rubber-cemented to board. The model sheet that was then photographed and printed on photographic paper. The board measures 18.25" x 15". There were 22 images cut out and mounted (two are missing). The board is inked with title and directions, by hand. An "RM -27" is written on the board with a Walt Disney Prod. copyright. The board is hand initialed OK JG -- this would be the initials of Joe Grant. A true piece of Disney history. Very Good condition.
