Description
The Little Whirlwind Mickey Mouse Studio Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1941). A rare Disney Studio model sheet print created for Production #2248 -- Little Whirlwind, released/14/41 and directed by Riley Thompson, with animation by Ward Kimball, Fred Moore, Walt Kelly, and several others. This oversized "Action Models Only" print is on photographic paper with two authentic Walt Disney Studios stamps in the upper (dated 5/23/40) and lower left. The eight full-figure images of Mickey in a number of different poses and expressions are supplemented by captions cut from newspapers or magazines, which add a whimsical nature to Mickey's various looks. Model sheets like this were distributed in very limited numbers within the studio, and are important elements in the animation process; they are highly desirable as collectible Disneyana items. This one displays a horizontal crease and some handling wear. It;s matted with an opening of 15" x 13", and is framed with glass for an overall size of 22" x 20". Frame is sold as-is.
