Description
The Great Mouse Detective "The Queen" Studio Model Sheet Original Art (Walt Disney, 1986). Queen Mousetoria, the Mouse Queen of the United Kingdom, is featured in this original art for a studio-used model sheet, noted as "Final Clean-Up Model" for "The Queen." Mounted to the hand-titled and stamped board are five original graphite and blue pencil drawings of Queen Mousetoria on paper; the board was photographed and model sheets were made for distribution to animators drawing the character during production of the film. Disney Legend Andreas Deja was the Supervising Animator for the Queen, and the drawings are undoubtedly by his hand. Villain Ratigan's plot focuses on the overthrow of Queen Mousetoria so that he can become King. The original art is in two pieces on the board; the single image of the Queen on the left has an overall image size of approximately 6.5" x 6", while the combined image size of the four-image drawing on the right is about 9" x 8.5". The heavy illustration board measures 19" x 15.25". Condition is Good to Very Good with handling wear with mild age-related paper toning.Auction Info
