    Description

    Popeye the Sailor Man Model Sheets Group of 2 (c. 1930s). This wonderful group of early Fleischer Studios art includes a rare animator's practice model sheet of Popeye and Olive Oyl, and an animation rough of Popeye with a bee on his nose. The main figures on the model sheet are 5" tall and include several head shots. The head shot of Popeye on the animation rough is 9" tall. The model sheet measures 9" x 12" and was produced in graphite on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper, matted out to 14.5" x 11". The animation rough measures 10" x 10" and was produced in red pencil on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper, matted out to 15" x 15". Overall in Fine condition.
