This original graphite model sheet from the 1934 animated short Mickey's Steam-Roller captures the detailed design of the steamroller that plays a central role in this memorable piece of animation history. Directed by Disney Legend David Hand (1900 - 1986), the short is significant for introducing Mickey Mouse's nephews, Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse, in their animated debut. The story unfolds as Mickey, busy romancing Minnie, finds his steamroller hijacked by his mischievous nephews, leading to a chaotic and destructive joyride.
