Mary Blair and Retta Scott Cinderella Concept/Layout Model Sheet Group of 2 (Walt Disney/Golden Press, 1950). Retta Scott (née Worcester) provided the artwork for a Cinderella Golden Book, a Big Little Golden Book, a Puppet Golden Book, and a Paper Doll book. These books all came out well before the feature film. The stylized look of Cinderella is all Retta Scott. These are her working blueprints for this project. Printed on photographic paper, these huge model sheets contain Mary Blair concept artwork as well as detailed early background layout drawings, and castle interiors. The sheets have an approximate image area of 36" x 20". Both have a Walt Disney stamp on reverse. Interestingly, on the back of one in Retta Scott's handwriting is "Ready December 1949 -1.00 Cinderella Like Bongo, 1.00 Paper Doll, 25¢ Golden Story Book, 25¢ Little Golden book." Folded and minor handling. In Fine condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
