Description
Macross Plus Studio Printed Model Sheet/Settei Group of 150+ (Studie Nue/Triangle Staff, 1994). This lot is a gold mine of studio printed model sheets or, as they're called in Japan, settei from the 4-episode OVA series Macross Plus. Created by Studio Nue and Shoji Kawamori, the series was the first sequel to the original Macross and paved the way for more integration with Japan's traditional cel animation and computer-generated animation. Macross Plus took place three decades after the massive war between humans and the Zentradi and followed childhood friends Isamu and Gult as they were selected as test pilots for new aircraft for Project Super Nova. The lot includes over 150 pages of settei for: characters like Guld, Lucy, Millard, and Marge; character accessories and props like visors, goggles, phones, watches, and computers; settings and locations; and of course the exterior and interior of the aircrafts that the characters will be piloting. Some of them have printed notes in Japanese and all would have helped the storyboard artists, animators, and more to keep the characters, world, and everything in between consistent while they were creating the series.
