Lady and the Tramp "Prelude to a Kiss" Limited Edition Pan Cel 66/350 (Walt Disney, 1996). Original hand-inked and hand-painted limited edition pan cel of Lady, Tramp, Tony and Joe from the Bella Notte scene created from the 1955 Walt Disney Studio feature film Lady and the Tramp. This limited edition cel recreates scene 7 sequence 75 from the film. The cel has been painted using traditional animation techniques. Artists at the Disney Ink and Paint Department used original 1955 animation drawings using 19 hand-inked lines, and then painted the cels using 42 different Disney approved acrylic colors. The background scene in this set up was painted using the 1955 layout drawing and actual frames of film. The Disney Animation Research library maintains the original animation drawings and reference materials used to hand paint this cel. It's a large pan cel measuring over 32" long and 12" high, one of the largest Limited Edition cels released. The cel includes a Disney seal and original Disney Certificate of Authenticity. This romantic scene was an immediate sell out, and is a magnificent testament to the Art of the Disney Ink and Paint Department. Fine condition.Auction Info
