Heckling Hare Bugs Bunny Studio Model Sheet (Warner Brothers, 1944). Bugs Bunny had already appeared in four cartoons previous to this one and been named in the openings, but animators were still referring to him as the "Rabbit" at the time this model was created. It's a large and impressive 18" x 15" print from the dawn of Bugs Bunny as we recognize him today. The drawings for this rare model were created by Leon Schlesinger Studio animator Rev Chaney and the piece bears his trademark "R" handwritten in two places. Model sheets like this are considered official documents that were never meant to leave the studio and are highly prized by collectors. This model in particular carries a great deal of animation and early Bugs Bunny history with it. The 75-year-old Schlesinger Studio document has been folded, shows pinholes, tape and paper toning. Very Good condition. This lot will have to ship from Dallas to the winning bidder. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
