Hand-painted on 12-field acetate, this studio reference cel aligns the three principal characters side by side, ensuring animators maintained consistent proportions throughout production. In visual development, size charts like this were essential tools-created alongside model sheets, effects guides, prop studies, and color models-to preserve continuity across scenes and episodes. Premiering on CBS on September 10, 1966, the series followed young inventor Buzz Conroy (voiced by Dick Beals) and his father, Professor Conroy (voiced by John Stephenson), as they battled supervillains in Civic City with the help of Frankenstein Jr., affectionately called "Frankie" (voiced by Ted Cassidy).
