Classic Disney Model Sheet Group of 10 (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). Take a stroll down memory lane with this incredible group of classic studio-used model sheets! Model sheets were often printed on photographic paper and are still an invaluable part of the animation process, helping to keep a character's features and gestures consistent through a multi-artist production. This lot of 10 includes a sheet of Bambi (dated 5/23/40), Dumbo (dated 1/28/41), Dumbo props (dated 3/4/40), three sheets of Bongo the bear, Owl from Winnie the Pooh, various birds from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and a squirrel. All measure 14'' x 11'' and were used in Disney Legend Joe Grant's (1908 - 2005) model department. These vintage sheets give us a rare and valuable look into the Disney animation process for features and short films, full of memorable characters whose appeal and charm has stood the test of time. These vintage sheets exhibit minor handling and edge wear with light age-related toning. Faint creases and two-hole punches on the last sheet. Good condition overall.Auction Info
