Description
Alpine Climbers Eagle Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1936). Here we have an original studio model sheet of the mother eagle and her babies from this David Hand-directed short. Mickey, Donald and Pluto run afoul of a mother eagle when Mickey gets the idea to steal her eggs. This photographic print measures 11" x 14" and includes several images of the eagle and her eaglets as well as a couple of images of Mickey for height comparison. The working title "Mountain Climbing" in the upper right indicates that this model is from the early developmental stages of the short before the official title was decided on. Model sheets such as this were used as reference material and distributed amongst studio artists to insure character consistency. They are considered vintage Disney documents that were never meant to leave the studio and are therefore highly collectible today. Framed under Plexiglas with a mat opening of 10.5" x 14.5" in a 17" x 21" frame. It shows light handling and use; otherwise, condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
