A Wild Hare Bugs Bunny Studio Model Sheet (Warner Brothers, 1944). This studio model sheet is a rather important Warner Brothers and Bugs Bunny artifact. It is from the very first cartoon to feature Bugs as we know him today and it predates his first named appearance in a short which was the cartoon to follow this one, Elmer's Pet Rabbit. The 18" x 15" printed sheet is labeled "Rabbit Model" and features 19 different facial expressions and head angles. This printed model is from what could be considered the true debut of Bugs Bunny cartoon which won an Academy Award that year. It's a magnificent piece and easily the earliest and rarest Bugs Bunny model sheet we have ever offered. The 75-year-old Schlesinger Studio document has been folded, shows pinholes, tape and toning. Very Good condition. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
