    Description

"The Art of MGM" Studio Model Sheet Group of 25 (MGM, c. 1940s-50s). This is a group of very rare studio-used printed model sheets, done for MGM cartoons. Some are listed by working titles, rather than what was actually used. There are some Tex Avery cartoons in the group as well. Included: One Ham's Family; Who Killed Who; Vulture Ala King (2); Lonesome Lenny (Screwball Squirrel); Jerky Turkey (3); The Weed; Big Heel-Watha; The Boy and the Wolf; The Bulldog and the Butler; The Rookie Bear (Barney Bear); Musical Bears; Officer Pooch; and The Flea Circus. There are also blueline mimeograph sheets of Zander Dog (with pencils over two figures), Droopy, Barney Bear, Crow, and two Disney Studio model sheets, of Donald Duck and an early version of Geppetto from Pinocchio. Prints are in all shapes and sizes, with folds, rips, major handling wear, and edge wear. A rare look into MGM studio animation and character development, with a little Disney thrown in for good measure! Overall Fair condition.
