Mickey's Trailer Mickey Mouse and Friends Poster Design Concept Art by Hank Porter (Walt Disney, 1938). "Oh boy... what a day!" says Mickey to start this great Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy theatrical short. This short is considered one of the trio's best; it was directed by Ben Sharpsteen and released on 5/6/38. It has a great opening scene of the collapsible camper! This is a rare original preliminary artwork for the one sheet theatrical poster for this cartoon. It's from the hand of Hank Porter, who was the head of Disney Publicity Art. Art is in graphite with red and blue pencil highlights on paper measuring 9" x 12.5". Hank Porter (1900 - 1951) has his signature initial "P" in the bottom right corner. Original artwork for one sheet theatrical posters is very rare; this one is a superb image with all three stars! A vintage brownline print of the final line art is included for comparison. Horizontal fold creases in both pieces; otherwise Very Good condition.
