Description

Mickey's Rival Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Mortimer Mouse Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1936). Minnie Mouse is enthralled by the tall, stylish Mortimer Mouse when he crashes Minnie and Mickey's picnic. His brazen manner and flourish capture Minnie's attention, and Mickey isn't all too happy about it. Mickey gets cruelly pranked by the newcomer several times, and he's also not a fan of the attention that Mortimer is giving to Minnie. This incredible group of drawings highlights the dynamic between the three mice. These three phenomenal original animation drawings feature full-figure images of all three mice on their own page. The drawing of Mickey measures 4.5" tall, Mortimer measures 4" tall, and Minnie measures 4" tall. Each drawing is created on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper with graphite and colored pencil. The drawings are marked in their lower right corners with 61, 74, and 95A. Mortimer Mouse was named after Walt Disney's original idea for Mickey's name, which Walt's wife Lillian wasn't too keen on. What a dynamic group of drawings with such great poses! This group is in Very Good condition, with very minor handling and edge wear, and some age-related toning.
