Description

    Mickey's Rival Mickey Mouse and Mortimer Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1936). Pair of original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings from the Wilfred Jackson-directed cartoon that had the boys competing for Minnie's attention. The short was released to theaters on 6/20/36. Both are full-figure images in graphite with red pencil shadows; Mickey's image size is 3.5", while rival suitor Mortimer measures 4.25". The drawings are numbered 75 and 30 in the lower right. Mortimer's drawing has some slight edge damage from storage, nowhere hear the image; it's in Very Good condition, while Mickey is in Fine condition.
