Description

Mickey's Parrot Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). Mickey mistakes a parrot who wandered into his basement for an escaped killer, in this Bill Roberts-directed short, which was first shown on 9/9/38. In this original 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing, he has just crept down the stairs with his shotgun when he thinks the killer is right behind him; this scene occurs at about 2:48 into the short. The image is huge, drawn in graphite with red and blue pencil highlights, and an overall size of 9" wide by 8.5" tall, practically filling the page. The number 76 is written in the lower right. Very Good condition, with mild handling wear and a rusty staple mark touching one of Mickey's ears.
