    Description

Mickey's Gala Premier Mickey Mouse and Pluto Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). Good ol' Pluto never lets you forget he's all dog. Here Mickey scolds him for stopping to sniff a tree as they enter Grauman's Chinese Theatre for their star-studded film premier. This is an original 12 field, 2-peghole animation drawing from this Bert Gillett-directed short. The 3.5" x 5" image is rendered in graphite and numbered 46 in the bottom right corner. An interesting note about this cartoon - on September 1, 1939, Mickey's Gala Premiere was the last show aired by the BBC Television Service before broadcasting was suspended during World War II and was the first show aired when service resumed on June 7. 1946. The paper shows minor handling, mild age-related toning, and edge wear. Very Good Condition.
