Description

Mickey's Fire Brigade Mickey Mouse and Ladder Animation Drawing Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935). It's Fire Chief Mickey in his #1 helmet to the rescue when Clarabelle Cow is caught in a burning hotel in this Ben Sharpsteen-directed cartoon entitled Mickey's Fire Brigade. Mickey Mouse teams up with Donald Duck and Goofy to fight a fire, but the trio's heroic attempt keeps getting thwarted by their clumsiness. In this scene, Mickey Mouse falls on the lever for the fire truck's ladder, shooting him up into the air. This scene begins at about the 2:45 mark of the short. These three excellent original animation drawings are rendered with graphite (with a few red pencil highlights) on 12 field animation paper. One sheet has two pegholes, another has five, and the last one is a 5-peghole sheet that has had an extra peghole added, as well as two of the other pegholes cut. The drawings are in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, minor smudging, and minor creasing.
