Mickey's Circus Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1936). Mickey's Circus centers around a performance that is overshadowed by the children in the audience and by Donald's pernicious seals. This Ben Sharpsteen-directed short subject film was released on 8/1/36. The short features the voice talents of Walt Disney himself as Mickey Mouse along with Clarence Nash who is voicing Donald Duck. The image shows Donald standing on Mickey after the two have fallen from a hire-wire into a small tank of water. You will see this scene in around the 7:43 mark. It's interesting to note that the final image on film is the reverse of this one and the drawing has the word "reverse" written in the lower right corner above the number 129. The image measures 4" x 5.5", rendered in graphite with color pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. Mild handling and slight age-related toning. Condition is Fine.
