Mickey's Christmas Carol Willie the Giant and Mickey Mouse Production Cels Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1983). After a 30-year big screen absence, Mickey Mouse came roaring back in this Academy Award-nominated classic cartoon short, inspired by Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Willie the Giant was brought in to play the Ghost of Christmas Present. This is an outstanding hand-painted production cel of Willie that takes up the entire 16 field cel. He is 15" x 10". The cel is from the scene where he picks up the grapes with Scrooge around the 13:24 mark. It's by the "Fruit of Generosity" line. A Disney seal is on the cel, and a COA is on back of the mat, which measures 17.75" x 15". The lot also has a hand-painted production cel of Mickey Mouse as Bob Cratchit. This is when he is surprised by Scrooge's appearance at his door on Christmas Morning. He says "Why Mr. Scrooge, Merry Christmas!" He then invites him in around the 30:47 mark. This cel also has a Disney seal and Disney COA on back of the mat. The Mickey cel in on a line-test background cel, matted to 19" x 16". Mickey is a large image of 6". The two cels are laminated and have lamination separation and haloing. Willie the Giant cel condition is Very Good, while Mickey's cel is Fair.
