Mickey Mouse Annual Donald Duck and Goofy Illustrations Original Art Group of 3 (Walt Disney/Dean & Son, 1952). Dating these British Mickey Mouse Annual books can be tricky unless you know the "secret" - the copyright date found inside is from the year after the book was published! So, this edition, with Mickey as the captain of a rowboat, is dated 1951 inside, but is actually from 1952. Here are three large illustrations from the book, including the opening page 4 painting of Donald Duck in an early version of a bungee cord. It has an approximate image size of 9" x 11.25", board size 10.5" x 13". The page 7 title illustration for "Mickey the Mountaineer" features Goofy; image size is 9" x 11.5", board size is 11.5" x 14.5". The Goof is also the star of page 39, "Goofy's Patent Roller Skates." Image size is 9" x 11.75", with a board size of 10.25" x 13.75". All three vividly colored illustrations are painted in gouache and ink on illustration board. Art condition is Very Good, with minor handling and edge wear.
