Meatless Friday Spider and Fly Production Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1944). A 12 field animation drawing of the Spider and the Fly from the Friz Freleng short written by Mike Maltese, released on 1/29/44. The title is a reference to the Roman Catholic practice of abstinence from meat on Friday; a World War II-era reference to Meatless Tuesdays is also made in this tale of the Spider vs the Fly. There is an extra set of peg holes, as this item was once stored in a three-ring binder. Nice images of 2" and 6" in graphite with red highlights, with "#411" written in the lower right corner. A very rare item, in Fine condition. From the estate of Warner Brothers Ink & Paint Dept. employee Francis "Cookie" Zeid.
