    Mary Blair Peter Pan Concept/Color Key Painting (Walt Disney, 1953). "Think of all the joy you'll find when you leave the world behind and bid your cares goodbye!" Never forget the failsafe directions to Never Land: "Second star to the right and straight on till morning." Michael, Wendy and John arrive at dawn in Never Land with Peter Pan leading the way in this eye-popping, high-contrast and colorful original concept painting by Mary Blair (1911 - 1978). Evoking a sense of wonder and fantasy in just a few strokes of hot pinks and glowing oranges, Mary Blair's color sensibilities were essential in creating the magic of Disney's mid-century feature film masterpieces (in this case, 1953's Peter Pan). Rendered beautifully in gouache on 10" x 9" illustration board, this stunning piece shows handling and edge wear with some mild debris. There are pinholes in the corners, and the overall condition is Very Good.
