    Description

Mary Blair Melody Time Joe and Jenny Concept/Color Key Painting (Walt Disney, 1948). Melody Time was released on May 27, 1948 and featured sections on "Little Toot," "Bumble Boogie," "Johnny Appleseed," "Blame it on the Samba," "Pecos Bill," and "Once Upon a Wintertime." John Canemaker writes in The Art and Flair of Mary Blair - An Appreciation on page 23, "'Once Upon a Wintertime' in Melody Time is one of the rare Disney films that closely matched Blair's stylized designs." This is an outstanding original Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) concept/Color Key painting of Joe and Jenny happily skating on ice alongside of the two rabbits. These rabbits reflect the emotions of Joe and Jenny. Great matched skating scene! Stunning painting, in gouache on illustration board measuring 8.5" x 8". Tack holes in all four corners with minor handling along border. In Very Good condition.
