    Description

    Mary Blair "It's a Small World" Tropics Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1964/66). "There is just one moon and one golden sun, and a smile means friendship to everyone. Though the mountains are high and the oceans are wide, it's a small world after all!" Rainforests, jungle foliage, exotic birds and children of a tropical paradise are depicted in this original concept painting by Mary Blair (1911 - 1978). It's as if the Sherman Brothers wrote the ride's theme song song while looking over her shoulder as she painted. It's beautifully rendered in gouache on 14" x 8" board and is classic Mary Blair. The art is in a frame of 24" x 17.5". Frame is sold as is, artwork has pinholes in corners and minor edge wear and handling. Overall Very Good.
