Mary Blair Cinderella Coach with Coachman and Horses Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1950). Here is one of the single most detailed and striking Mary Blair concept/story paintings from Cinderella we have seen. It shows the transformed pumpkin coach, with the coachman and four white horses. Check out that beautiful landscape background as well! Such an amazing color pallet! The painting is in opaque watercolor, and is unusually large, measuring 12" x 10", affixed to a backing board measuring 15.5" x 12.5". Some of Mary Blair's Cinderella concept and story paintings were used for the book Walt Disney's Cinderella. This painting was probably given to artist Retta Scott as reference material for her work on the Golden Books edition. Fine condition. From the Retta Scott Archives.
