    Mary Blair Cinderella "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" Concept/Color Key Painting (Walt Disney, 1950). "Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo... Put them together and what have you got? Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Cinderella's Fairy Godmother makes Cinderella's dreams come true in this magical concept painting by the hand of Disney Legend Inductee Mary Blair (1911 - 1978). First and foremost, this is one of the largest original Mary Blair Cinderella pieces we have ever seen. It features Cinderella, her Fairy Godmother, Bruno, the mice turned horses, the pumpkins and of course, the magical carriage in the center. It's all here! A striking image featuring a color palette very closely resembling the one used in the final product, this image showcases the first occurrence of magic in the film. A perfect encapsulation of one of Disney's most iconic princess scenes, Mary Blair's sense of color and composition focuses our attention on the bright, glowing and centered carriage. On page 38 of John Canemaker's The Art and Flair of Mary Blair, the writer states, "Cinderella retains much of the romantic color palette and whimsical attitude found in Blair's original sketches. Were palace chambers and staircases ever grander, chateau living rooms more pompous, or attic quarters more dank and cramped?" An essential piece in the film's ultimate look and feel, this atypically large painting by Mary Blair is rendered masterfully in gouache on 14.75" x 12" illustration board. It shows minor handling and edge wear with mild debris on the edges. There are pinholes in each corner, and the condition of this magnificent piece is Very Good.
