    Description

Pinocchio Disney World Maquette Sculpted by Harry Holt (Walt Disney, c. 1960s-70s). A cheerful Pinocchio is ready for school with his books and an apple for the teacher, in this amazing clay over metal sculpture. When Harry Holt returned to Disney after his Hanna-Barbera stint, he went into WED as a Chief Designer, Sculptor, and Art Director. He did a series of sculpts of several Disney characters to be used as props on television, and for use at Walt Disney World. This is Mr. Holt's hand-sculpted Pinocchio figure, standing about 9.25" tall, not including the base. The 7.5" x 8" black base is hand-signed by Harry Holt (1911 - 2004). Minor handling wear, with small nicks and scuffs from handling over the years; the hand behind Pinocchio's back shows some chipping, revealing the metal foundation underneath. Very fragile, but overall Very Good condition. Will require third party shipping. From the Harry Holt Collection.
