    Description

Mickey Mouse "Mousecar" Award (Walt Disney, c. 1960s-70s). The Disney Studio's version of the Academy Award "Oscar" is the "Mousecar." This is a highly coveted in-house award given to employees for service to the company as well as the community as a whole. It is considered much rarer than its sister award, the Duckster. This is a rare Disney Studio Mousecar Award, a second generation version on a wood base. The initial ones were on a Bakelite base. Total height is approximately 10". The Mickey part of the award is 6". He stands on a wood base of approximately 3.5". The nameplate has been removed. This is only the second one of these to ever be offered at Heritage Auctions. This is one great lot to be offered in Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday year! Very Good condition.
