Home on the Range Buck Hand-Painted Production Maquette (Walt Disney, 2004). Here is an exceptionally rare hand-painted original production maquette of Sheriff Sam Brown's horse with a huge ego, Buck, from Disney's 2004 animated feature film, Home on the Range. This maquette originally belonged to John Sanford, who was writer and director on the film. For Sanford's personal maquettes for the film, the characters were hand-painted, where the standard maquettes would be the standard matte grey. This maquette was signed on the bottom "John Sanford" after production, and is production numbered as maquette B-5. It measures approximately 13.5" x 7.5" x 10", and is in Very Good condition with minor wear.Auction Info
