Description

Carl Barks "The Barkster" Limited Edition Bronze Statue #5/100 (Gemstone/Dark Horse/Bowen Designs, 1994). "Good Duck Artist" and Disney Legend inductee Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) designed the bronze statue "The Barkster" with sculptor Randy Bowen and imagined himself as a duck holding an enormous cartoonists nib. Released in 1994 and rarely brought to market, the award is officially called the "Diamond Collections Carl Barks Lifetime Achievement Award." Carl Barks was, of course, the first to recieve it! The statue has been long sold-out for over 30 years and was created in an edition of only 100. It has been hand-signed by Randy Bowen as well as the legendary Carl Barks along the base and is hand-numbered at the top of the base. This statue is a very low number and is noted 5 out of the 100 made. Measuring about 9'' including the 3'' diameter marble base, the bronze features a plaque along the bottom of the base which notes the producers. It is in Very Good condition with light edge and handling wear and is a must-have for fans and collectors of Carl Barks.
