DescriptionLoopy De Loop Title Card: Cel and Drawing (Hanna-Barbera, 1959). In this lot is the original title card for the Loopy De Loop animated shorts. Loopy De Loop was a series of theatrical cartoons created by Hanna-Barbera starring Loopy de Loop. The shorts were distributed to theaters by Columbia Pictures between 1959 and 1965. His theatrical cartoon series was the only one of its kind produced by Hanna-Barbera. Loopy is a wolf, voiced by the great Daws Butler (1916 – 1988), who seeks to improve the reputation of wolves. Despite prejudice and mistrust, even by other wolves, Loopy perseveres in what he sees as his mission in life. This rare vintage title card setup consists of a hand-painted 12 field production cel over the original title card drawing. Very rare indeed! Loopy was a big screen character and only appeared on television once as a guest on Yo Yogi in 1991. The drawing shows age-related toning otherwise, artwork is in Very Good condition.
