Description
Lonesome Ghosts Character Model Sheet (Walt Disney, 1937). "Hey fellas, here's an idea, get a load of this!" says one of the four bored ghosts to his three ghost pals. They race over to read the following ad in the newspaper "We exterminate all kinds of ghosts! Day and Night Service." This ad is for the Ajax Ghost Extermination Company. Its employees are none other than Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy. This short was directed by Burt Gillett, and had some animation done by Disney Legends Art Babbitt, Clyde Geronimi, and Milt Kahl, among others. It was released on 12/24/37, Christmas Eve! It is considered one of Mickey Mouse's greatest roles. This is the ink on paper original model sheet artwork that would be used to make published model sheets for the studio's animation staff. It has two images of Mickey Mouse, two of Donald Duck and one large on of Goofy. Great image sizes of 4" - 8". Copyright W.D.P. is at the foot of each character image, and the model sheet is titled "Lonesome Ghosts Copyright 1937 Walt Disney Productions LTD." Character names are also inked on the artwork. This historic piece is in a frame of 24" x 21" with a mat opening of 14" x 11". Any and all artwork of this film is considered very hard to find. Frame is sold as-is, artwork has minor handling and edge wear, overall Very Good condition.Auction Info
