DescriptionLittle Hiawatha Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937).
Little Hiawatha was a 1937 Silly Symphony cartoon produced by Walt Disney. The short was inspired by the poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and animated by Disney Legend Inductees and two of "Walt Disneys Nine Old Men", Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas. In the classic short Hiawatha comes across a set of bear tracks, which leads him to a face-to-face encounter with a bear cub. He chases after it, but runs into the cubs protective mother, who chases him through the forest. From this scene we have a fantastic animation drawing which can be seen around the 5:35 mark. The piece was created using graphite on 12-field animation paper. This is a working production drawing and thus will have artists notes on the artwork, making this a fantastic opportunity to acquire one-of-a-kind vintage Disney production art. Perfect for Disney enthusiasts and animation collectors! The artwork has normal handling, edge wear, and discoloration; otherwise, the condition is Very Good.
